What the status of the bugs and waters on the AT through the Smokies right now?

water is abundant, so are the bugs. Bumper crop of bugs due to all the rain we had in June.

I just got back from a 3 day trip yesterday. Yes, plenty of water. Bug are out, but really weren't that bad, and up high this past weekend, they were non-existent in the fog
