Comments, concerns, opinions, experiences, weigh in stories, related to the scale at the Amicalola Falls visitor center.
The scale starts out at 3 lbs. I always remind people to subtract the 3 lbs. It usually makes them feel better that their pack only weighs 58 lbs not 61. 3 lbs can be psychologically damaging. I hope other then that that the scale is accurate. Maybe someday Amicalola will spring for a new one.

Nice set of scales at Rainbow Springs....I was at 24 pounds (no water) for my last 3 day section hike...
Does anyone know if there is a record for the porkiest pack at Amicalola? Has anyone broke the 100 pound mark?
