here is my gear list, please help/advice to get to approx. 35 - 40 lbs w/consumables. Planning thru 3/2010.

yea i'm trying to put it up, but having problems lol
I have got my pack weight (everything, food, water, the works) at 25 pounds for my thru next week... looking at ways to drop some more... think you may have the answer- just take nothing!:banana

You don't need the leatherman, replace nalgene with gatorade bottles, ditch the extra shorts, you're missing first aid kit and bear bag rope, and consider an alcohol stove if you really wanta save weight...
