Im going to be in Maine for about a week here soon and would like to visit mt. Katahdin. How long of a hike is it to the top and can anyone provide me with some good information for a day hike here?

Hey man, Get in shape before you go. Slackpack by leaving your pack with the ranger. Put some sun block on. And, don't over do it the first day. It is a tuff first day. Peace, Berry

It's an all day climb for many. Get yourself reservations for two nights at Katahdin Stream Campground for the nights before and after your day on the mountain. Start up at first light, be prepared for severe weather, and enjoy yourself.
