Just got back from our hike in SW Virginia. I took my WM ultralight and used it like a quilt. This was obviously more than comfortable bordering on tooo much. It didnt bother me at all,l but it would be nice to save some weight. I was looking at the JRB quilts. What are your thoughts on the various models? Are the temp ratings accurate? Are they roomy?

i own two JRB quilts. the no sniveller and the stealth quilt. based on my experience using these two quilts in virginia and colorado, i would say the ratings are quite accurate. as far as them being "roomy", that is really hard to answer. i am 5'9" and i do just fine with the regular length quilt. any quilt will take some getting used to if you are a "ground guy." it really comes down to good ground insulation and trial and error with yer' setup. give me a call if you have any other questions.

I think the Jacks' ratings tend to be on the conservative side. Very good quilts, I own three and love em.
