I remember reading here on Whiteblaze that there was supposed to be a documentary or special on the AT done by the National Geographic Channel that was going to air back in May or June...Did this ever happen?

The film will be released sometime in the 4th quater, which sounds to me like it would be in the fall.
Very beautiful film, and I can't wait to see it again.

It is a great show. The only way I can see you being disappointed is if it makes you miss the trail!!

I just finally saw it on my Tivo. It was really good. And actually told about the conservation surrounding the trail that you don't usually see.

Just surprised that it from Springer to Mountain Crossings skipped to Shenandoah back to Damascus to Mt Rogers Rec area to Harpers Ferry and up to Maine. So much missed stuff. But I guess you can only put so much in an hour special. Maybe need to do a 5 to 10 parter to get everything.
