I carry it the regular way but then I nail it to a tree with my jell-o (http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=like%20nailing%20jello%20to%20a%20 tree) when I get to camp.

hee hee I was going to answer too - in fact I just made fresh yogurt on the trail in VT 2 weekends ago in a wide mouth sig bottle Yep!

I usually keep my yogurt in my yak until I'm ready to prepare it.
And just to keep the griping down, my yak does not stay in the shelters.
