Hello
I came across this site while researching the trail and decided to join up. I am leaving in a week to start my hike. Plan on getting on around the smokies as thats where I am closest to at the moment...I'm so pumped. I've been putting on my backpack and walking around town everynight.

I WANTED to walk around the neighborhood with my pack, but my kids begged me not to. They said that somebody would call the police! :eek:

Just find you closest Boy Scout meeting and invite them to walk with you. It will be "training" for the Scouts and you will not look out of place.
