Hi -

I'm doing a section hike from Mass 8 in Dalton to Mass 2 in North Adams, MA. Does anyone know if there is any parking at the trail head in Dalton? I plan on leaving my car there and taking a bus back from N. Adams when I'm done. Any info. would be greatly appreciated ;)

Gulf RoadFollow High Street northwest from the intersection of MA 8 and 9. Overnight parking is available at the lot on Gulf Rd. in Dalton. Services available: laundry, grocery, lodging, post office and restaurants. 5/16/06

I cannot vouch for this info regarding Dalton, but I always reference this site for trailhead parking.

I think we just had a thread about this, you might want to do a search of the site. Parking at Gulf Rd in Dalton is OK for a few days. It takes three buses to get back to Dalton from Rt 2.
