I talked with Jamey on Jane Bald and the (Angora) goats are off duty for the season. It looks like the project is working the blackberry plants have been pushed back from the top of the Balds. If anyone would like to help for next season here are some links to check out. He said that 100+ days on the mountain this year were a lot of work, fun and wet.

Excellent. They are cute little buggers.

With moving to the Triangle, I missed out on the goats this year. I had some great pics from last year.

Are these goats more effective than mowing....or is this the "green" alternative???

Maybe a dumb question but I can't figure out the answer from the links: From Carvers Gap, which way are the goats? North or south?

North from Carvers Gap.
