Dancer and I are starting to gear up for our fall hike from Pen-Mar to Harpers Ferry with an overnight stop at Crampton Gap for the MAHHA Hang. I was looking online at ideas to take for meals for Dancer and I and came across the fairly new Coleman meals that are being sold on Enertia's website. Three options looked good to me, Cheesy Tomato Pasta (http://www.trailfoods.com/#/products/coleman/cheesy_tomato_pasta/), Cilantro Lime Rice with Pintos (http://www.trailfoods.com/#/products/coleman/cilantro_lime_rice_w-pintos/), and Southwest Chili (http://www.trailfoods.com/#/products/coleman/southwest_chili/). I went ahead and ordered one of each, thinking I'd give them a go. When I ordered, I had specfic meal ideas for the Rice and Pintos and Southwest Chili, but not sure about what to do with the Cheesy Tomato Pasta.

First, has anyone tried these meals? Anyone have any opinions they'd like to share on them, good, bad or neutral? I've eaten Enertia's meals for a while now and have nothing but good to say about them, so I'm hoping that these meals will be good as well.

So, anyway, on to my meal ideas:

Cilantro Lime Rice with Pintos
Add foil pouch of chicken breast and spoon on to tortillas. Consume.

Southwest Chili
Add one pouch Minute Rice and some dehyrdated hamburger. Consume.

Anyone have any specific ideas about what to do with the Cheesy Tomato Pasta? Maybe something with sun-dried tomatoes? Thanks in advance for any ideas, opinions, etc.

Add shelf stable bacon and dried peas to the cheesy tomato pasta.Excellent idea, Tabasco! Thanks a million! We're gonna use your idea and add some nice crust Italian bread to go with it. Thanks again!
