Thanks to a recent thread on Hammock Forums about knives, I went from not needing any more sharp pointy toys to shopping for a Becker Companion (https://www.kabar.com/product/productDetail.do?productNumber=BK2&mode=category&categoryId=1,2,3,7,8,9&categoryName=Hunting/Sporting) and Becker Necker (https://www.kabar.com/product/productDetail.do?productNumber=BK11&mode=search&categoryId=1,2,3,7,8,9&categoryName=Product%20Search%20Results).

In my search based on price I found Trophy's Hunting Gear (http://www.dealerease.net/catalog/catmfg.asp?ret_id=806356&catid=166&mfgid=132)and bought myself 2 new birthday presents.

The price was great, and I received shipment more quickly than expected. Once I got the neck knife I decided I wanted the optional clip (http://www.dealerease.net/catalog/product.asp?ret_id=806356&pid=61951)attachment for the sheath.

I checked with Trophy's and again found the price to be excellent. When I clicked the shipping options, it turned out shipping cost more than the clip so I called to see if there were other options for a single item.

I spoke with Rhonda, (this is a family owned/run business and she is one of the family), at their toll free number and she agreed that the shipping was too steep for such a small item and that she would check on some options and call me back.

Here's the reason for this post...

She called back and said the clip was in the mail to me and I should receive it in a few days. I said "great, let me give you my credit card number" and she said not to worry about it since is was just a small item. She thanked me for my previous business and simply asked that I tell others about their business. Wow. Never expected that.

Since I was so impressed, I went back to the web site to shop some more. When I did, I found some great prices on several items, like Grand Trunk stuff, Steripens and Katdyn filters (http://www.dealerease.net/catalog/subcategory.asp?content=Water+Filters%2FPurifiers&scid=724&ret_id=806356) and replacements and the list goes on.

If you are like me and have low sales resistance and love excellent service, avoid this site or you may find yourself buying new things you really "need" and then returning there again and again. http://www.hammockforums.net/forum/images/smilies/smile.gif

If you saw this same post from me on Hammock Forums, please forgive my cross posting. I am so impressed with these folks I wanted to pass the info along.
