I'm trying to figure out the total elevation gain from the Rt. 41 Trailhead in CT ( closest to Salisbury) to just after the Tom Leonard lean to, forget the number of this road, I think 23...........My trail guide is soaked and unreadable, I only remember a couple of mountains......Bear, Race, Everett.....anybody good at figuring out the following or have it already recorded?

1) # of actual 'summits'
2) Total elevation gain for this section

I am coming up with absurd #'s and could use some seasoned help:)

sorry.. don't have my CT trailbook with me. But it's probably about 2-3000' of elev gain.

lions head(1700), bear mt.(2300), race mt.(~2400), mt. everett(2600), then after a 10 mile flat land hike east mt(1800)

i'd say about 5000 ft elev. climb

According to Maptech there is about 6000' of climb, S-N, over ~ 28 mi from 41 to 23.

I meant from low to high point.. not total elev gain.
