These photos and video will give you an idea on how you may build your own, I'll try to find some photos on how to stack your fuel for this type of stove.

Here are some photos how to stack your wood and also shows the size of fuel. I used 1/4" jute baleing twine fluffed up. Don't use paper, it causes too much ash that blocks the grate holes. Grate is made of 1/2" hardware cloth.
When I get time I'll make a cut-away view using a metal container and then do a video of it burning.
This was a quick way to get a demo on how to stack fuel, keep it porous, let the air flow upwards. Light your fire from the bottom.

Note: in my first post you can see charcoal remaining in the can, an indication of not sufficient air being supplied.

Secondary air enters along the entire height of the stainless basket, not just at the top where most DIY stovies are putting the holes. The grate provides air directly under the fuel. Stainless steel lantern replacement globes are still available for a source for mesh.
