Interesting gear blog. Hendrik has several reviews of products not commonly seen or discussed including some interesting details .
Some highlights for me :
Tarptent bits ( that is a surprise), bivy bags, the Caldera Inferno, down jackets.
There are also several really nice trail reports.

Very interesting blog, but I don't understand the need for a bivy and a tarptent. Maybe I'm missing the obvious. Off hand, I'd think that a lower degree bag with a resistent skin would be a better option, but I'll assume that he's done his research and knows what will work best. I look forward to following the blog.

Hendrik does state his reasoning right at the start :
"I'm also in need of a bivy bag to keep the Ultra 20° (http://hikinginfinland.blogspot.com/2009/09/gear-talk-golite-ultra-20-initial.html) dry from rain and dampness and increase the warmth rating of the quilt a bit"
