where is a good place to find out weather forecast's for sections of the trail, i will be going thru CT and Mass and i'm just curious as to how much rain i may incounter.

You can get current weather at the top of this page. You can get extended forecasts and history/averages at yahoo weather.

I also rely on www.weather.com (http://www.weather.com), especially the Averages and Records page which lists sunrise and sunset (important when you're hiking outside of summer), average high and low, and record high and low by month and date.

I've lived here all my life, believe me there is no good place. For example, the prediction for this weekend was, THE SKY IS FALLING WE'RE ALL GOING TO DROWN. This went on all last week. No rain actually fell. Prior to the October 87 storm, that put down three feet of snow and knocked out power for a week, they said "Flurries". For CT, Mass and VT, reading tea leaves is more accurate. Just walk the rain won't kill you.
