Looking for a Partner April/May

My parents are hoping I can find a partner to start hiking with in April/May because I am 18 years old and they are worried.
I am confident in the trails safety, but it would comfort them if I started with someone else.
Is anyone starting around the same time that would like to talk about starting together?

Is this for a thru hike? Check the 2010 forum and maybe make a request there.

But I can tell you there will be lots of hikers to pal up with, esp early April.

I would suggest only going with someone else that you think will be able to and willing to operate at your pace. I thought about the whole safety issue too, and while I will be going with my girlfriend, outside of her, I wouldnt risk giving anyone else the opportunity to see if they would be willing to travels the distances that I plan too each together.
