I'm looking for the perfect bra for a PCT thru-hike. I'm a pretty solid A and I don't care about support, I just want coverage for when I take my shirt off, change, swim, etc. My biggest problem with most bras is that the elastic band around the bottom never dries. I'd really like something that's less of a sports bra style and more of a normal bra made out of wicking materials. I have been considering the Patagonia Barely Bra, but I'm hesitant to spend the money when I'm not sure if it will dry quickly - any feedback on this bra or others that work well would be appreciated. Thanks!

I'm a guy, but all kinds of ideas (http://www.whiteblaze.net/forum/showthread.php?t=52891).

Definitely go with Patagonia Barely There. I used it on the PCT and many other trails. I hate having large straps on my shoulders that rub under the pressure of my pack, the Patagonia Barely There keeps everything snug and warm, it dries quickly, and I hardly know it's there. Granted, I hardly need it, but that's another matter. : )

There is also an ex officio bra that runs around $40 dollars--dries quickly and does not retain odor. I would check out their website, it is very comfortable.

Thanks for the ideas everyone! Gumball - are you talking about the Give-n-Go Softlace Seamless Sports top? Hikes in Rain, I did see the previous thread, however I was looking for some suggestions for ladies with almost no chest - but I read through it again and found some things that may be useful. Anymore suggestions would be appreciated! Thanks Again.

I'm sure any opinions I might have in this respect are probably less than useless, but I'm never sure if folks see a particular thread or not, so I thought I'd point it out. No harm, no foul, and no offense if asked to butt out! :sun

I just got a bra at Target that is a lot like the Patagonia capilene mesh bra (http://www.rei.com/product/733652). Comfy, microfiber, no uniboob, $17.

I have the same bra from Target. It's great, and it is just like the Patagonia one. Definitely dries fast.

Hannah - I have the same bra issues as you but just a bit larger cup size....omg I just told the world! lol The other issue I have is that the bottom of the bra that goes around the rib cage seems to roll up at times....most annoying. I am still looking and will get a bra or two before March 15....my last issue is I hate to shop!

Best of luck, Ohmeringue
