Just did all of the AT in Maryland, it's beautiful but rocky trail. Pretty mild elevation changes. I especially like the section from Gathland State Park into Harper's Ferry but watch out for the runners. There are lots of road crossing in Maryland and parking access for day hiking. Might be some good solo opportunities as well.

Hello Dancer- That is so funny cause i just did an out n back from Garthland State park to harpers ferry. It is a beautiful hike n this spring i am going to hike the AT in MD on a long weekend. i hear the MD part of the AT is some of the easiest parts of the AT. i can do alot of it solo, but it is a little more fun to hike with a partner. And i also like to roll solo somethimes too.
Thanks for the pics.

Hey,
I'm in Annapolis and would love to go out for a trip. I could always use a shuttle, and my wife really does not like me to go solo in the Winter. I saw your other post where you were looking for a partner for Dec. 5-6 in SNP. I did a short section there a couple of years ago. What section did you have in mind? Mileage?
