Looking for the best route to the FS42 AT crossing from Dahlonega. Will be driving a small Honda Fit.

Follow GA-60 north from Dahlonega. Turn left at this store. The first FS-42 & AT crossing will be at Gooch Gap, the next at Cooper Gap, then Hightower Gap and finally the Springer parking lot, which is probably the only one you wanted to know.

As I recall, they also cross at Horse Gap (between Cooper & Hightower). I had a shuttle last year taking me to Cooper Gap, which we blew right through... realized when we saw the Horse Gap sign that we needed to turn around.

I had a shuttle last year taking me to Cooper Gap, which we blew right through... realized when we saw the Horse Gap sign that we needed to turn around.The Trail and FS-42 are very close together at several places between Horse & Hightower gaps but the Trail doesn't cross until Cooper Gap.

Thanks for the help. I'm meeting my shuttle at the AT crossing nearest Springer, Big Stamp Gap. I'm also picking up a friend at Gooch Gap. This route is perfect. Thanks again.
