Thank you for showing that pad. It has a great r value and very little weight for the protection. If your tent is a tarp type without a flooring tub, this pad will do in any weather. If your gona be a shelter dweller, this pad is over kill.

The link that Brooklyn Kayak offered is the most comprehensive review I could find.

I looked at this mat closely. I came to much the same conclusion as Sparky2000. If I was winter camping or camping in severe cold on the ground, like in a bivy, tarptent, or under a tarp and wanted to use just one well insulated sleeping mat to protect me from the ground and offer good sleeping comfort this can fit the goal. However, IMO, it's a bit of an overkill for 3 season hiking on the AT or if you don't want a pad dedicated to cold weather camping or if you don't do a lot of cold weather camping. If you choose to haul a 25 oz sleeping pad everywhere you hike, of course, you can do that too. POE makes several other good looking lighter wt. less expensive high R-value pads that I think are more of an appropriate fit for the majority of those engaged in 3 season camping at lower to moderate elevations.

Got one for Christmas two years ago. Good warm pad and pretty comfy too. Bit expensive. I use it for my winter pad. I've used it in a shelter too

I posted about this pad a few weeks ago on the "Highest R Value Pad" thread
