I got my copy last night. I eagerly put it in the DVD player and let her rip. It started a little slow. I was interested in scenery, not chatter so I put it on fast-forward. I finally couldn't even stand that. Honestly, it just seemed like a bad home movie. My opinion, of course.

If your interested in scenery, watch PBS.

Ya, ya I hear you. I am not belittling the film. I think I am just too much of a hermit or something. I imagine it would bring back lots of good memories to thru-hikers (Which I am not yet). I will gladly send the DVD free of charge to the first thru-hiker who hoenstly wants to have it . Contact me offline, please.

Have you seen Trek or North to Katahdin? They have a bit more scenery.. what did you think of those?

Trek is by far the best I have seen. Characters developed and answers in the end. Their thoughts at the beginning were very interesting to see, and the lessons learned in 'real time' along the way.

Definately 2 thumbs up. Just got the DVD.
