If it is a U.S. note, with Benjamin Franklin on the front, then it is mine.

Why did you have a bill roller up? The only time I have seen people do that they were up to no good...

Gee, I guess I don't hang around people like that. :) Never occurred to me.

don......

I admire your honesty. If no one claims it, a great use for it would be to treat a few thru hikers to a free meal.

Between Sunday and Tuesday, I met 3 southbound section hikers (Kenny, Dale, and Terry) and 2 thru-hikers (Tom and Donna) headed towards Stover. Nice folks, sure hope it wasn't theirs. The section hikers were from Alabama and the thrus from Colorado.

If you don't find the real owner, I would totally put that towards Trail Magic.

Seriously - a cooler of beer/soda on the next hot summer day - that would bring joy to everyone! And refreshment. And a buzz to lightweights like myself who give shame to (1) Germans and (2) Catholics - as I cannot handle more than a single serving.

Cheers!

How about donating it to your local trail club or the ATC?

OH NO

You should have left it laying on the ground, I am sure the owner came back looking for it...

So make a plan, post your plan giving location, date, and time.

Then take it right back where you found it, and put it back....and I am sure it will be found....................:banana

I found a $100.00 bill on the AT today around Stover Creek Shelter if you can identify it I will be glad to return it. Thanks :-?If it was outside the privy it was probably mine. I must have dropped one, the rest are in the privy. You can keep it.

Or use it to buy toilet paper for the Georgia privies. I don't know why the GATC doesn't provide toilet paper instead of those buckets of wood chips. Those wood chips are really scratchy.

I know Don. He is a GATC Maintainer. I say if nobody can correctly identify it, then he should not feel bad about keeping it. After all, Im sure with all the hours he has put in, a little magic for the maintainer is long overdue.

Don, you might want to let Winton know that you found it. They are likely to be hikers heading northbound for a few days and will discover their loss when they go to get a soda, snack, resupply, or shuttle at Walasi-Yi.

I know Don. If you know Don you also know how much to believe this story.
