this might work as a cheap, light ground cloth.
I found an interesting piece of material in the trash. It appears to be 1/16in. thick closed cell foam with a piece of clear 1 0r 2 ml. plastic attached to each side. 4 ft. wide on a roll. I think it is the stuff they put under Pergo flooring or maybe under vinyl siding. It deffinately looks like construction material.
It appears to be about as durable as tyvek, thin enough to fold, waterproof, lightweight, a bit of insulation. and mine was free. maybe ask a flooring co. if you want to check it out. not worth buying a 100 ft roll though.

looks like the stuff. I was surprised how much pulling it took to tear it probably about the same as a regular 3/8 pad. It's worth looking at particularly if you can get some free from a flooring place.
