They are bad here in Tennessee next to the Smokies. I've shot over 65 from my back porch just in the last five years.

I'm curious, what do you do with 65 dead wild pigs? Throw a real big BBQ?

I've heard of rangers shooting them in the smokies and leaving them for the bears, not sure if they still practice that.

in 99' i was a the fontana motel(now the hike inn) there was a newspaper clipping on the wall showing a 500 pd. hog a ranger shot. it was close enough to the road they weighed it with a forklift. later on a ranger told me they shoot them and leave them for the critters, but if they are able to haul them out they take them to the reservations.

Pig bomb - feral hogs reproducing at such a huge rate they destroy most of the native wildlife. Happening all over.

I keep a few hams and shoulders in the freezer and give the rest away to friends. Once in a while I'll hang one from a tree with traps under it to catch coyotes that kill my calves.
