the single best thing that happened to me this year was meeting my brother. i have a brother!have a cigar!

and now,...the bad news

lost job of 11 years
lost bearpaw
lost dearest friend paul
allmost lost daniel
got cavitys
lost clear vision
gained tummors
didnt get passed new york thruhiking.
became heavier drinker
lost feeling in hands and feet
stopped sleeping
acted like an ass in front of my friends
got flagged from a bar
borrowed more than i can pay back.
gave away my best art to strangers trying to become discovered.
after 23 years of praying, childhood sweetheart came back,...crazy.
allmost went to jail for straw gun sale.
etc.

To my friends who enjoy a glass of wine...
And those who don't and are always
seen with a bottle of water in their hand.

As Ben Franklin said:
In wine there is wisdom,
In beer there is freedom,
In water there is bacteria.

In a number of carefully controlled trials,
Scientists have demonstrated that if we drink
1 litre of water each day,
At the end of the year we would have absorbed
More than 1 kilo of Escherichia coli, (E. Coli) - bacteria
Found in feces.
In other words, we are consuming 1 kilo of poop..

However,
We do NOT run that risk when drinking wine & beer
(or tequila, rum, whiskey or other liquor)
Because alcohol has to go through a purification process
Of boiling, filtering and/or fermenting.

Remember:
Water = Poop,
Wine = Health.
Therefore, it's better to drink wine and talk stupid,
Than to drink water and be full of ****.

There is no need to thank me for this valuable information:
I'm doing it as a public service! :banana

Happy New Year and a huge thank you to all the good people on White Blaze. In my pursuit to learn more about the AT, I've learned far more about the passions and motivations of those who appreciate the quiet places "out there". Much appreciated!

Mattewski,
My friend.I hope you have a better 2010 and hope you can get back on track.Although I have had a very good year in business I hate years ending with 9.In 1999 I lost both my Mother and Father in the same year.Though it seems as yesterday it has been 10yrs.I kept busy so I didn't think about it but it still would bear on my mind at times.

In 1989 I had really financial problems but the next year it got a little better. In 1979 I had girl friend problems too.In 1969 I was a bad accident.
1959 I was only one year old.Probably was a bad year too.

I am looking for 2010 to be a good year for me and hi hopes it will be for you too.In fact I hope our whole country does better.Happy New Years to all and good luck from my family to yours.

Mr.Ron,I understand how you feel about losing your Dad.I lose mine Aug 4,2009,It was sad because he was getting out of the hospital and i had to go to the VA in Charleston,SC.I told him ill be back the next day and he passed away that night.I will say he is in a better place due to the lung cancer and a bed sore he had and it will bear on your mind at times.Happy New year and hope you do well in 2010 as well.HS
