My wife and I hike the Grand Canyon at least a couple of times a year. It is our favorite place to hike, but can be very unforgiving. Here is another sad story of a young man who got off the trail.

Wow. Thats really sad. It got me to think about these things that happen yearly and you almost never hear it in the news. This kid must of been awsome to be around

Very Sad! The story reminds me of the book "Into the Wild" and how I was haunted for years with the thoughts of this youn man.

I hate to sound like a broken record, but if only he had carried a PLB or a SPOT, his adventure might have turned out differently.
