How much water would you say you drink per day on the trail.

Thanks

Varies on conditions, weather, temps, amt of hiking, etc

Between one and ten liters.

Almost always around 2-4 liters, and that's on my section hikes. And about half a liter is in cocoa, coffee or tea. When I'm getting into higher mileage on my thru this year, it may be more.

All depends.

As others have mentioned, it's going to vary, depending on a lot of factors -- the terrain, the mileage you're doing, the temperature.

I think the question that would be easier to nail down would be to ask how much water anyone carries at any one time, because rarely will you need to carry all of your water for the day all day long. The AT has many, many water sources, so even if you're drinking 8-10 liters you probably won't carry more than 2 at any one time, unless it's towards the end of the day and you're planning on dry camping somewhere.

Typically between 6-10 liters per day. Less if I'm doing low mileage.

I carry two liters, if there's going to be a problem finding water ahead, I fill my 1500mL water bag (evernew).
