Today's New York Times has an outstanding article about endurance runner extraordinaire Diane Van Deren. Among her other accomplishments is a victory in the 300-mile Yukon Ultra (pulling a sled through snow).
Anyway, she's off this week to climb Aconcagua, a 22,000 ft. hill in Argetina, all while being continuously monitored by a medical team from the Mayo Clinic. If you want to know more, please read the link. It's pretty cool.
