I am not a trail runner or ever will be, but FYI
The new winter 48 four thousand footer record was completed a few days ago, 7 days 17 hours. He cut about 2 days off the record. A few folks with him also beat the old record.

They did have the advantage of a lot of folks breaking out trails, but I live nearby and they had a fair share of winter conditions.
