anyone know if there is a trail from the old sugarlands trail across the west prong pigeon river up to the newfound gap road. recent maps do not show it but it seems likley there was one at one time.
also has anyone recently teied the upper reaches of the ramsay cascades trail all the way to the A T it also was an old trail with some spectacular falls and a pool. it used to come out between old black and mt guyot.
I want to hike a week or so the last of October.
anyone interested in a trip from big creek to clingmans and back possibly off the AT much of the way.
