I'm watching a nice overview of the Florida Trail on the WEDU (Tampa Bay PBS Channel 3) show called "Florida Crossroads". The feature is 30 minutes and deals with the history of the trail with Jim Kern's original vision, then follows the trail with a focus on regions including Big Cypress, Lake Okeechobee (including a look at the annual hike around the lake), Ocala NF (Clearwater Lake, Hopkins Prairie), the Suwanee River in north central FL and Gulf Islands National Seashore. A real treat on a Sunday afternoon!
