I just picked up the Kmart grease pot/strainer.

What cook set combo can you suggest for this?

Mainly interested in stove, stand, and windscreen, but open to suggestions. I don't mind being a little creative when cooking on the trail.

Something cheap, light, and that will fit inside the pot, preferably.

Is their any reason to take the strainer with me?

I have this windscreen and stove. It sits nice on the windscreen and fits in the pot without the strainer. The strainer wont fit in with it. (again, any reason to keep the strainer?) Also, will the fire be close enough to be efficient?

I am open to the idea of using a different stove and windscreen. I enjoying making these type of things, if it's helpful.

I ave a couple of those aluminum beer bottles. I thought about making those into a stove. Better for this application?

Hi Jeremy, hang onto the screen and use it to cook some eggs and other goodies. Take a look at this thread:
