I've extended the temperature rating of my W. M. Megalite 30 degree down bag by using insulated clothing.
I have a Thermolite Micro insulated jacket and pants that I have used last October in Colorado's Indian Peaks Range to help me sleep comforably in weather well into the teens in my 30 F, bag. The W.M. Megalite is purposely cut larger in the chest area and thus it wadds not tight with the extra clothes on.
The jacket and pants were also used around camp and the jacket was used under my GTX PacLite rain parka on cold windy mornings on the trail. This "multiple use" saved me some weight and gave me the necesary safety, day and night.
