Hi!
I'm looking for suggestions for a six or seven day hike this spring. Last spring, some friends and I did a loop hike south from Harper's Ferry and then back again. We took the Amtrak from Chicago there and back, which definitely turned out to be quite an adventure.
This spring, we want to go hiking again, but we aren't really sure where to go. Going on the AT is not mandatory, but we need to be able to get there by train, as none of us have cars. Are there any similar spots on the AT, where we can just get off the train and start hiking? We're planning to go in late May this year, and most of us aren't terribly experienced hikers.
