:confused: Does anyone know what happened to the "montbell.us" website? Everything shows it "temporarily out of service" and cashed.

I've got the same thing for weeks. I have no idea.
I just called Montbell Customer Service and talked with Scott. He said the website should be back-up by Monday 2-15-2010. He did not give a reason for the outage but wanted everyone me to know the toll free number is available for questions or orders.

I know me too. I have been itching to buy a new summer bag and the website has been down for over a month!
I heard that on the Japanese site, there is an explanation….if you can read Japanese. Apparently there has been a security breach where a customer’s information has been stolen. Montbell decided to shut down the whole website until they are sure they found the problem.

Also this is a very good Montbell web site. They have better info than the regular site and the prices are great.

The Montbell site got hacked and customer information was stolen by an identity thief. They had an explanation about what happened written in japanese on the .US site. Someone complained, so they took down that explanation too.

FYI - the Montbell website is back up and operating at a limited capacity. You cannot order online, you will have to use ither the 800 number or print out the Manual Order Form. Thought you might want to know.
