I purchased a low mileage Cloudburst2 at the end of last year and finally had a chance to set it up last week.
First of all, I love this shelter! I can see a lot of thought went into the design and features.
I got the tent set up using the instructions and noticed a few fittings I don't see referenced.
The first one is a small black "flipper" located on the 2 guyouts closest to where the main door velcros (is that a word?) together. They look like they are for running a line through, but I'm not sure.

The 2nd is the cord lock and hook located on the front guylines. I'm guessing the hook is to release the "front door" fabric so it can be rolled up for maximum ventilation. What I'm not sure about is the purpose of the cord lock and its ability to slide up/down the guylines.
7972
My last question is about the loop of shockcord attached to the bottom of the "front door" fabric by the end of the front arch pole. Does this slip over the end of the arch pole or is it meant to be staked down?
7973
I obviously will need to practice setting up my Cloudburst2 before hitting the trail, but want to figure out the major pieces while I'm waiting for the Michigan winter to wrap up.
Regards,
Greg
