I was wondering if anyone had some info on self inflating sleeping pads. I am a large guy and would need one to fit my large 6'4'' 300lb+ frame. Thanks for the feedback.

I'm 6'2", 200lbs and find a 3/4 therma rest to be just fine. Comfort is relative. I don't require a thick, comfy pad. For me it's only to keep the ground from leeching my body heat away. If you want something that's really padded, Big Agnes makes some that I've heard good reviews on.

I'm 6'5" & 295#'s. I use a thermarest prolite plus large, good for 4 season use. That'll handle ya just fine. If money is spillin outta ya pockets, get a thermarest neoair large for more comfort, good for 3 season use.

Thanks for those suggestions. How are those things in terms of pack size and weight?

All the hikers I knew that carried the Big Agnes pad last year were plagued by seam leaks that could not be repaired. The company was good about replacement.

this (http://www.cascadedesigns.com/Therm-A-Rest/Mattresses/Fast-And-Light/category) will answer your question about thermarest. look under specs for each pad.
