Yes works well. I tend to use it if I really expect lots of fogging up.

Yup, good stuff.

For the trail I don't worry about fogging. That's why my bandana is for. But it can be a nuisance sometimes. As long as I can see out of one lens.

Does the kitty litter get in the way ?

I use it for backcountry skiing on occasion.

Spit works too in a pinch (old diver's trick)

Yes, Cat Crap works very well if you follow the directions. Make sure that your glasses and handkerchief are very clean before applying it or you will scratch the lenses. Even the salt crystals in sweat can mess them up pretty badly.

if you are a four season hiker, take it along, possibly useful in Canada with all the rain, one has to adjust for the conditions you are hiking in.

I wear two sets of eyeglasses, one set are prescription sunglasses that fit tightly to my face and wrap to the side of my head. I wear them alot in the back country even on cloudy days,

Blissful suggests she doesn't worry about it and that a bandana is sufficient.

For me, first I use two trekking poles, and because these fit tightly, I would be fiddling, fumbling around every few minutes with poles bandana etc and I am sure that in doing so I would take a nice face plant somewhere. God gave me two eyes to use. Limiting myself to one might be ok on the AT, but here in the Rockies it's asking for an accident.

Cat Crap not only does the anti fogging thing, but it also cleans your lenses. It's good stuff, works very well, especially on humid days and is well worth the few extra dollars and half an ounce to carry. However, I would suggest you get some kind of microfiber cloth and keep that in small baggy with the cat crap. The microfiber will clean your glasses really well without scratching.

I still use croakies - your eyewear stays put whenever you trip.

I got LASIK after I got out of the army. I am a frugal penny pincher, and it cost me 3 grand. Was worth every penny, and I don't have to mess with glasses or contacts or any of that crap anymore.

Your lucky. Many of us can't have Lasik, including me...
