Here is something I found that was very interesting when you need to consider which battery to take on the trail so you get the most for your money.

I use two Energizer Ultimate Lithum in my camera and two in my pocket mail and when the camera starts to run down I swap them. Even the run down batteries work great in the pock mail.
Last month I went on a short trip on the AT and used new regular energizer alkaline batteries in my head light. Even at 15 degrees at night it put out a strong beam of light. They worked just fine.
