I bookmarked this guy's blog a while back and I see he hit the AT for some hiking a week ago.

Yes, and this last post was funny, apparently he may have killed a mouse in between the roof and lining fabric of his van? He realized after the fact that he ate mouse turds in his oatmeal--he apparently doesn't wash the dishes in between meals. It's more like he's living in a shelter on the trail than in a van.

Also I just captured a mouse in my basement using only a bucket and my wits* last night. What a timely thread! I always wanted to live in a van, too. Now I know that I have the skills to hack it. Excellent.
* ok, so the wits part is a slight exaggeration.

Sorry JAK I didn't mean to offend. I don't think he really killed the mouse, he just tried to, and it would be pretty dumb to do that in the ceiling of your van. I don't think anyone should harm any of the wildlife on the trail, including mice, except for insects that are biting you, in self defense.
