mileage from Hot Springs

can anyone tell me mileage from Standing Bear Hostile to Hot Springs.
Does Standing Bear have resupply supplies there or is there a grocery store close by or reasonable close. Thanks:-?

Standing Bear Hostel is by Davenport Gap which is 35 miles from Hot Springs. Standing Bear has some hiker supplies in their little store. Curtis, the owner, is a nice, hiker-friendly guy.

You may want to consider joining ALDHA (http://www.aldha.org/), the Appalachian Trail Conservancy (http://www.appalachiantrail.org/site/c.mqLTIYOwGlF/b.4805859/k.BFA3/Home.htm), and your local AT club. They all help support the Trail.

The store at SB is pretty darn good. Each year it gets better because they ask hikers what they want to see in the store. Its got all of the stuff you would need to resupply to get to Hot Springs or Erwin.

FYI... Chicken Feathers IS a member of a local trail club. He and I have built quite a bit of new trail together. :)
