Confess what unsightly gear you value!

I've got that purple campmor 20 down bag and a hot pink thermos.

Also, I sometimes bring Fleece Bottoms that look like I stole them from a ski lodge.

I still have a climbing pack (no suspension, just padding on the back) that I bought at REI in the mid 1980s which is HOT PINK! Maybe I should use it once in a while, but I can't get over the color. It's about 2200 cu. in. - good for a few days in summer.

All my gear is now (fortunately) in muted colors except for one hot pink stuff sack I use for my food bag. I hate it more every time I go out.

A red pillow that says "Texas Station Casino" on it that I carry on the outside of my pack. Fit's perfectly in my bag hood.

I am a dirtbagger who only buys on clearance, but thankfully I have been able to find all of my gear in normal colors and styles. I don't think I would buy anything terribly hideous even if I did find it though; the less you look like a freak the easier it is to hitchhike .

I'm a dirtbagger too. My pack is camo that I got at a clearance sale. Just looks odd next to other hikers' bags.

I always thought my LuxuryLite pack was kinda ugly. That said, it's also probably the most comfortable pack I own, and for sure the easiest to pack, so I don't really care how it looks.
