Hiked Fontana to NOC since Friday of last week (19)
I as going South with my group of 4. We ran into about 30 hikers going north. Camped with HeartWalker at Cable Gap. There were 5 in the shelter, and 10 us us tenting.
Ran into Redman at Brown Fork Gap Shelter. He was hiking with a group of 3 x sailors from San Diego. Foggie was one of their trail names. We slept 8 to the shelter and one guy came up later in the evening and hammocked in the valley for the night. Bad Storm during the night of the 21st and we work to a snow covered ground. Everyone is fine.
I am safe in Fl. I will be heading back to do another section hike soon.
