Hi everyone,

Im from the UK and will be starting my thruhike on 1st April, however I am getting a bit confused as to what plug adapter I will need to charge my Canon Powershot SD30.

I think you use a two pin plug in the US, would this be the same plug that we use for our shaving points here in the UK:confused:

I am not very technically minded and any help would be appreciated as I am flying out on Tuesday:D

Those shaving points are OUR shaving points (two vertical flat pins) . Our high power points have a third round pin for extra grounding. The charger will fit in either.

Have a good trip.

Make sure that your charger is of the 100-240v 50-60 Hz, most non US chargers are.
If your charger has a figure 8 lead, then you can just buy the US version of that.
(less bulk than British plug plus adaptor)
