Thank you to many of you who responded to my request to help locate my nephew on the AT. He was located today and is heading home.... sadly to his sister's funeral. Again, thank you to all - the AT family is quite wonderful.

Mary, glad you found your nephew. I'm so sorry about your niece's passing, and, yes, the AT community, and hikers in general, are mostly outstanding folks who respect the needs, desires, and hearts of others.

So glad you were able to find him and get him headed home. Sorry for the loss my prayers are with all of you.
Tell him take as much time as he needs before he even thinks about hiking again. Tell him the trail will be there when he is ready.
