We will be doing a section hike north for four weeks and we were hoping to find a fairly safe place to park our car. Any suggestions?

You could try the Kincora hostel or thereabouts. I'm new on this forum but I hike the area a lot. It's a turn off of 19 just after a Pizza Plus and then the place the road veers off to the right up Dennis Cove Road. A few miiles up a winding road and it's right near the trail head.

This is a no brainer. Kincora is the right place to use.
