I am curious, dried potato products like this, will eat the the salt right out of the sauce so manufactures make this product very high 28 percent sodium or salt, so the salt is added to the cheese package... I have taken these and they work well with Nido, but has anyone seen this with a lower sodium number?

I use only 1 sauce package for every 2 boxes.

That's 28% of daily requirement per serving. Daily requirement while not sweating much, and not eating much either. Etc. May not be too much while out on the trail. It's not as much as many soups and sides, either. Any dried food dish is likely to have a high sodium number, especially those containing lots of starch, which is what seems to demand salt to up the flavor. Look for special healthy diet versions, and keep checking the labels. If you choose high sodium meals, consider also taking potassium pills, as a citrate or another organic salt. They will help you to keep your electrolytes balanced.

Daily intake for everything one eats is only 1500g. of salt.

How does the saying go...I sweat like a hooker in church? That much salt in my food during a section hike does not concern me too much due to the physical exercise and short duration. And I even have mildly high BP. :)
