Hi all,
I am considering purchasing a pair of midweight long johns for an upcoming backpacking trip in Maine, where temps will drop to 20 degrees F or a bit below. Would appreciate any recommendations you have for midweight long johns (preferably 8 ounces or less for size Large).

Thanks!
Marty

I have used Kenyon, Duofold, and Wickers products, and I found the Kenyon products to be the most comfortable, warmest, and odor-resistant of the bunch.

I used two sets of Patagonia Capilene (http://www.patagonia.com/web/us/patagonia.go?slc=en_US&sct=US&assetid=2301) base layers (number 1 and 3) last year and was pleased with them.

If you have an outfitter near you check them out and decide what thickness will suit your needs best.

Thanks everyone!

Snagged a pair of Capilene 3's. They should work great.

Best regards,
Marty
