Temps on the trail in NC

Leaving in a couple of days for our section hike on the AT....Deep Gap over to NOC. Here in LA the temps have been in the 80's....I'm planning on the temps to be in the 30's at night at elevation...does that sound reasonable? Just want to make sure I plan accordingly...thanks and cheers.

There is a slight chance that it will get that low. In my experience during that time period it never got lower than the forties but you are right in planning on it getting that low. Have a good hike.
